The Vita Green Impact Fund (VGIF) provides sustainable forestry, safe water and cleaner, fuel efficient cookstoves to women and their families in East Africa.

Its important that we address the twin challenges of food insecurity and climate change in an integrated way. The communities we partner with in East Africa are among the most affected by the climate crisis, despite contributing the least to global emissions.

Our climate-smart agriculture initiatives deliver one million tonnes of food across the region annually by strengthening the whole food production value chain. This transitions rural farmers from subsistence to thriving farming enterprises. Our model protects and promotes local natural resources.

Our ambition is to empower these communities to adapt to climate challenges, improve agricultural productivity and boost incomes so they can thrive in their own homes and their own communities.
