Consultant Wanted: EU Procurement Specialist

Vita is an Irish International Development partner focusing on climate-smart rural development in the Horn of Africa. Vita seeks an EU Procurement Specialist to provide technical support and guidance on procurement processes and compliance in Vita’s EU-funded programmes, implemented under the coordination of Teagasc. It is envisaged that the initial consultancy would require no more than 10 days desk-based work over a 3-4 month period, with the potential for regular consultancy work thereafter. Primary tasks will include:

  • Reviewing and providing guidance on current or upcoming procurement actions in Vita’s EU-funded programmes
  • Advising on the development and strengthening of procurement best practices within the organisation

The successful applicant should have demonstrable knowledge and experience of current EU procurement guidelines and regulations. Some knowledge and experience of procurement in an international development context, especially in EU-funded actions, is an advantage but not essential.
